WLAV-FM wants to move tower sites

September 10, 2017 By Blaine

Cumulus’ Classic Rock/WLAV-FM (96.9fm, Grand Rapids) submits an FCC application to move their transmitter site.  “97 LAV-FM” wants to put their transmitter at the same transmitter/tower site as WFUR-FM, with 50,000 watts at 140.8 meters.  This would be a move to the west/southwest, as “97 LAV-FM” currently has their tower site northeast of Grand Rapids, near Cannonsburg Ski.  The WFUR-FM tower site is just across the Grand River, south of John Ball Park and Zoo.
