Earlier this year, Crawford Broadcasting purchased WCHB (1200am, Taylor) for $2 million. WCHB went silent in early August so that Crawford could accomplish some studio and transmitter engineering work. 1200am recently returned to the air with new call letters WMUZ (“1200 The Salt”), airing a Christian talk programming, including Alistair Begg and Dr. David Jeremiah. Crawford moved the WCHB call letters to their 1340am licensed to Royal Oak. The new “1200 The Salt” becomes Crawford’s fourth Detroit area radio station, joining WRDT(AM) (560am), WMUZ-FM (103.5fm), and WCHB (1340am).
